To celebrate our 50th year we hosted a number of events throughout 2023
We are delighted to share with you our 50th celebration calendar of events.
We kicked off on
Saturday, the 10th of June at 3 pm
when we went back in history and visited
Fr Murphy's Y.C.
to erect a plaque to mark our birthplace.
We invited all team captains and team Managers
to be represented on the day to
show case the growth of teams in our club and a 50th birthday cake to enjoy.
On the same day our adult player awards
& coaches' night out
took place at O'Neills Bar
Awards presented at 6.45pm
and
Champions League Final at 7.45pm
Sunday 11th June
Super Sunday
We a hosted a big open day for all our members and supporters.
A day that was not to be missed, a visit to Knockgriffin Park,
with lots to see and do on the day,
- Food vendor's,
- Fun & games,
- virtual reality,
- test your strike speed
and lots to do for all visitors
11am to 2pm
Academy boys & girls Mini World Cup Competition.
2pm to 3pm
Presentations of medals and the World Cup trophies to all age groups
&
Penalty competition for teams from 11 to 17
with three representing each team on the day from
3pm to 4pm
Photo shoot for all the coaches and volunteers
Plenty to see at Knockgriffin Park
as we showcased what Midleton FC is all about.

and lots of memories to look back on
the success and development of Midleton FC.
We also hosted our annual awards nights in June
with Junior and Senior members
along with special guests to present our awards.
Two fantastic nights were had by all.
July/ & August were two busy months organising
the 50th Anniversary Golf Classic
in East Cork Golf Club
and also saw us hosting the
Eddie Allen Senior Pre-Season Cup and
The Barry Wall Junior Pre-Season Cup.
September kicked off the busy 2023/2024 Season, our 50th season in Midleton.
October was a busy month preparing for the
upcoming celebratory 50th Anniversary Dinner Dance
in November which was a huge success and
a very enjoyable night was had by all.

Winners of the Eddie Allen Senior Pre Season Cup 23 went to
Leeds after a very tight and exciting final between Midleton & Leeds.
Plenty of chances on both sides to score goals
with the game finishing 1-1
Leeds came out on top winning 5-4 on penalties.
Congratulations to Leeds and thanks to
Avondale & St Mary's for taking part in our pre season tournament.

Winners of the 33rd Barry Wall Junior Pre Season Cup went to Springfield of Cobh
In an exciting final Springfield came out on top winning 2 v 1 Scorers James Stoat,
Jamie Britton for Springfield & Jake Mallon for Midleton
Congratulations to Springfield and thanks to Corkbeg, Cobh Wanderers, Bosco's,
Churchvilla & Riverstown for taking part in our pre season tournament.

Best of luck for the new season
A great day of soccer in Knockgriffin with the 2nd year of the Teddy Lambe tournament.
Players from Carrigtwohill Springfield Ramblers, Watergrasshill and
Midleton took part in this pre-season U12 tournament.
Two tight semi finals saw Midleton and Watergrasshill (on PKs) go through to the final.
Springfield overcame a plucky Carrig in the 3/4th place play off.
In the final Midleton proved to be a little bit stronger than Watergrasshill.
Thanks to all the players and coaches for a competitive and sporting tournament.
Good luck to all the teams in the upcoming season.

Midleton Park Hotel
Our annual Schoolboy/Schoolgirls awards night took place in the Midleton Park Hotel on June 23rd 2023 where our Players of the Year, Most Improved and Top Goalscorers were recognised in each of the age groups.
Special guests on the night were Cork City Senior Womens Manager Danny Murphy & Cork City Player Jesse Mendez.
