U13 Midleton Magpies 1-0 winners against Churchvilla this evening in Knockgriffin,League Champions with 3 games to go and unbeaten all season
well done girls and lovely to add the league trophy to the Plate Cup final win last Sunday week. A brilliant season
Luke Duggan Murray, Rhys Kelly Noonan, Jake Hegarty
A fine 3-0win for the magpies who now enter the 2nd Round of FAI CUP, a 1st half the away side looked the more threatening at times , but Luke Duggan was unlucky on twoattempts not to open the scoring before half time, Diarmuid Byrne had to be at his very best at times today in key moments, a warm evening was taking its toll on some and Murray who made 9 changes today, added fresh legs on 70min and itwas at this point where the magpies grabbed hold of the game, McCarthy and Bolster immediately sparking into life. Jack O Sullivan was next to put theshoulder to the wheel with Seamus Farrell giving everything once again, the magpies got the break through, Evan Bolster taken down through on goal for apenalty, up stepped cool hand Luke to put the magpies ahead. 5 minutes later itwas two, Matthew O Sullivan immediately impacting with a ball for Bolster whocrossed for Rhys Kelly Noonan to finish a plomb. It was Bolster again being amenace on a tiring St. Francis team, once again taken down, and upped steppedJake Hegarty and smashed it home to make it 3.
Powerful finish and a great bounce back after extremely difficult turnaround from Thursday, a massive squad effort evident as the magpies’ head into final 2 weeks of season.
Well done lads and once again thank you to AESSEAL plc for support today.

Dear Supporter,
Thank you for your incredible support this year. Our club is thriving with 35 teams and over 925 players of all ages, presenting a significant challenge for our 225 volunteers and coaches. Your contributions are crucial in developing players and ensuring our success on and off the field.
Throughout the year, our teams have achieved remarkable success, from cup finals to promotions and league titles. Many players have represented Cork & Munster teams, some even progressing to national league football. We had another player capped for Ireland at Ben Dumigan at U15 played all is football with Midleton before he joined Cork City in the National League. Ben is the 19th Midleton player capped for Ireland.
Off the field, we've been fundraising and planning for the future, to provide a full-size all-weather pitch at Knockgriffin Park. Unfortunately, increased costs (€550,000 to €750,000) delayed the project in2023. Floodlights will be erected in the New Year on our second pitch, to be followed with a full size Astro in the summer of 2024.
So far our fundraising efforts, including the 300 Club syndicate draw and a €150,000 capital sport grant, have raised €292,000. To make up the short fall we will borrow €450,000 We're actively exploring additional avenues to support the club's growth with facilities to cater for all.
Looking ahead, our aim is to acquire more land for additional playing pitches to accommodate the growing demand on our playing membership. Knockgriffin Park is bustling with activity and at full capacity most weekends for training and fixtures.
Our weekly Lotto and 300 Club Syndicate Draw are now crucial fundraisers, enabling us to build the much-needed all-weather playing facility. Your ongoing commitment, support and generosity make this possible, ensuring we can provide for all our members and the community.
We would like to thank you all for your kind support over the past year, committee members, coaches, team managers, players, ground staff, Lotto sellers, sponsors, supporters and many more who contribute weekly to the administration and development of our club.
Wishing you all Season's Greetings and a Happy New Year!

Aisling Annacotty 0-1 Midleton
Super win today for the U18s in Fermoy against a well organised and committed Annacotty team. Not too many chances as defenses were generally on top but probably a fair result in the end. Great 1 touch finish from George Alamu after a great ball in from man of the match Cian Lambe. The goal came with 15 Mins to go and even though Annacotty pushed hard the Midleton defense was resolute with huge work rate from everyone. Thanks to the MFA for organising a great occasion, the officials from South Tipp who were excellent and special thanks to Jako the match sponsors for the fabulous set of gear for the team.

Dear All,
Dia dhaoibh a chairde, we have formed a small committee in order to put together a St Patrick's celebration for the town. We have already gotten the go ahead from the council and support of An Garda síochána.
As everyone is aware we have only a small number of days to pull this off, it will not be a traditional parade and will most likely be more of Irish music and dancing etc. We are meeting tonight 6:30pm (Monday 13th) and putting the exact plan of action into place, and then releasing all the information for everyone. We will start a Facebook page and publish everything on other local public pages.
It may not be the biggest or best St Patrick's day, but it will be a celebration of our countries national holiday in our amazing town. I would like to thank everyone who's helped me since I floated this idea and the rest of the people in this ad-hoc committee.
And as always, anyone willing to volunteer to play music or dance is more than welcome.
Expect music, dancing, children's fancy dress, and lots more.
Regards,
And on behalf of the other committee members,
Alan

All at Midleton F.C. are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of John O Connor. John is the brother of Ray, a long time volunteer of our club, former club president and very active with our weekly fundraising Lotto. Our deepest sympathies, thoughts and prayers are with Ray and O Connor families and John's partner Kathleen and families at this time. May he rest in Peace.
Eoin Healy , Danny Akinrinbola
A game where mixed emotions on the result, the 1st half was excellent from the magpies in general and took a deserved goal lead after 10 min through the impressive Eoin Healy, then a big moment in the game, Christian Daly dragged to the ground by the last man but no penalty was awarded which would have resulted in a red card.
Midleton reduced Ringmahon to very little chances and Daly looked threatening throughout the 1st half , it looked like the magpies could stretch there lead before the interval.
2nd half was a poor start from the magpies , and ringmahon equalised directly from a corner , a sloppy 2nd conceded shortly after a breaking ball fell kindly for Mcalevay who sneaked one past Nganou after 15min of dominance.
Midleton got a real wake up call from here and equalised shortly after through Danny Akinrinbola, a good response and it was game on again for both sides. Another massive on the way, Russell was taken out by ringmahon keeper, but no penalty again in a clear moment. Both sides kept battling but in the end had to settle for a share of the spoils . Another competitive game this morning and fine performances again collectively from the whole squad .
