Why Magpie Lotto is important to Midleton F.C.

Our weekly lotto is now in it's eleventh year and has played an important part in the development of our club. Since it was begun in 1990 it has achieved what it set out to do. It has raised funds for ground development, the extension of the clubhouse, the purchase of a training ground and the addition of floodlights. Last year laundry equipment was purchased for the cleaning of the team kits and a fitness and recovery room was set up to help players back after injury. Most important the lotto funds have made it possible to provide and maintain a playing surface of a high standard for all our teams. This is what players look for and at Knockgriffin Park we have one of the finest playing surfaces in the country. Thanks to the Lotto Committee, the Grounds Committee and the FAS workers for all their hard work. A special thanks to all our dedicated ticket sellers for your trojan work and to all our supporters who buy the lotto tickets each week. You have all contributed to the growth of Midleton Football Club.
