Cork U18 Cup
Killreen Celtic 3 Midleton 2
Despite leading through a Jamie Collins goal in the 9th minute, Midleton somehow managed to lose to opposition from a lower division, who played most of the second half with nine players. It was 1-1 at half time, which became 1-2 two minutes into the second half. Midleton drew level soon after, with a Sam O’Reilly free kick. Killreen then had two players sent off in quick succession. A wind assisted lob from the half way line dropped under the Midleton crossbar 2 minutes into injury time, which saw huge celebrations.
Well done to Killreen. But a great chance of silverware lost for Midleton, who were just not good enough.
